Missouri River 
Joint Water Board 


As of March 2026, the Missouri River Joint Water Board is made up of representatives of Burleigh, Dunn, Emmons, McKenzie, Mercer, Morton, Mountrail, Oliver, Stark, and Williams counties in North Dakota.


Our Vision 
To jointly exercise powers to provide a cooperative and coordinated effort in addressing the management, conservation, protection, development, and control of water resources in the Missouri River Basin.

MRJWB Summer Meeting Notice

Thursday, July 16, 2026

The summer meeting will be held on Thursday, July 16, 2026, from 8-9 a.m. CT at the Rough Rider Center in Watford City. It will be held in conjunction with the ND Water Resource Districts Association and ND Water Users Association annual joint summer water meeting.

The Missouri River Joint Water Board is embarking on a program tagged the EAE Program – Educate, Advocate, and Engage – for the Missouri River System in North Dakota. The program supports the Joint Board mission statement which seeks to provide …“a coordinated effort … (for) … management, conservation, protection, development, and control of the water resources in the Missouri River Basin.”
